Hurricane-free weekend
I would like to take this time to thank God for the first time since July started that -
I haven't had to get stuck in traffic in the middle of the day because of people clammering to get last minute hurrican supplies,
I did not have to hear those annoying update bulletins that revealed nothing new that you haven't heard over 50 times in a 2 day time span,
much needed concert practice has been cancelled, and pans packed away in little corner (and dang, those pans heavy),
people have had to tape up their windows and glass doors (I'ld like to add myself in that list, but unfortunately most of the tape since Ivan refuses to budge, so oh well, everything for a reason),
good tv time was wasted on the weather channel, which mind you, had interesting shows that only proved that americans didn't hear the parable about the man who built his house on sand, or learn that if the hurricane blew away your first trailer home then chances are it will blow away your second, and third, and...; then again in their defence, there are come Jamaicans who quite "brilliantly" insist on living on river bank... stupid people are every where you go,
weekend events have been postponed (yea for RochD who kept her date), only for the time to come and not a drop of rain,

I'm with you. It's cool to see a tree fly now and again, but the general inconvenience that comes with a hurricane is just too much. My wall stands as testament- actually, it doesn't stand- as testament.

know what you mean girl - wish it will stay that way. Just a litle rain - not enought to wash away a car.
