The simple things in life...

Spending half the day getting lost in worlds of adventure, action, mystery courtesy of Barnes and Noble.

Lounging around in a wonderfully soft cotton robe in an air-conditioned room with the next care in the world being "where shall I go for dinner tonight"

Recanting old stories and laughing with my best-friend about stupid things that people used to do.

the bat flies again

Ok, so apparently the fifth time is the charm.
I won't tell y'all about the movie other than to say it's as close to how I imagined batman should have been portrayed...dark and edgy, like in the comic books.
I think Christian Bale has taken over from Michael Keaton as my all time favourite batman, though I may be biased since starting my appreciation of his work since Christmas eve 1994 (HBO saturday premier of "little women").
Ok, now that I seem a bit obsessive I think I'll stop now.
Go see it and tell me what you think.

And in today's news...

Today was filled with such interesting and colourful news that I couldn't help but blog about it. I guess I'll give in the order that heard it.

Four guys decided to try and rob a Superplus in Whitehouse, Westmoreland. The police arrived on the scene and a shoot-out proceeds which left the police behind their highly perforated vehicle. Two of the robbers tried to sneak out dressed as Superplus employees, a disguise which the crowd gathered near saw through and proceeded to chop up the two guys.
Having seen what happened to their partners the other two decided to try and wait out the police in the supermarket. The police threw in canisters of tear gas and the two guys tried escaping through the back exit. Whether it was the police who caught them first or the crowd, the outcome was the same... They got chopped up.
Moral of the story...If you're going to steal, don't do it in Whitehouse,
Westmoreland.

A girl found out that her guy was cheating and in her anger she grabbed one of his testicles with her acrylic nails and let's just say he's got one less ball to juggle.
Moral of the story...If you gonna cheat, make sure you're girl don't got fake nails.

A group of guys tried to rob a tavern in St. Mary. A police officer who was inside at the time challenged to guys at which point they ran. One of the guys, not knowing the layout of the area, jumped out a window which happened to be directly over a precipice. Needless to say he's all broken up over the incident.
Moral of the story... God's got a sense of humour too.

radio silence broken

Hey guys, sorry I haven't blogged in awhile.
As of last week I am free!
Since then I've been on a book binge... More specifically, a Patterson binge.
Having covered four novels in about five days, I now have need to surface. The break, sadly enough, is cause by lack of new reading material rather than choice. All the better either way, need to start focusing on the less fictitious aspect of life.
I don't have that much to blog about right now, but just wanted to let y'all know that I remember my internet-means of escape from exam stress post-exam
