upsetting news

Sometimes I swear that I'm going to stop listening to and reading all form of news. But I must be a sucker for punishment.
So driving to school yesterday morning listening to Fame. 7:32, news report starts, at the end of which I was literally cussing and shouting in the car.
A corp. went to a police station (not his own). There he drank water out of a cup that was apparently someone elses. He was accosted and assaulted for his offence. He tried explaining to them that he was an officer, at which point they proceded to beat the living crap out of him for impersonating an officer. I wasn't until he was rushed to hospital that they confirmed his story.
End result - he's lost use of both arms and probably won't be able to walk again.

Now
1. is suing them enough??? All the man did was drink water and tell the truth, and for that he's now handicapped.
2. This is how barbaric we have become... a simple offence and we beat to kill and ask questions later.
3. These were our law enforcers doing this! Does this worry anyone else?! Is this a regular occurance?
4. Would we have heard this story if the victim was not a police officer?

I love my island but trust me, when I hear crap like this I honestly wonder if I should to stay here to live when I finish with school.
It's bad enough that the police can't protect you against the gunmen cause they trying to cover their own ass, but now police attacking police!

Blog in 60 words

Alas, I now have something else distracting me from maintaining my blog other than school.
And it's another blog.
I got B's book last night and needless to say finished it shortly after. And now with www.panin60.blogspot.com I get a continual supply and get to contribute. Not that I won't still post here, but you'll know where to find me.

P.S. Above is actually 60 words.

Have you guys ever thought of how many people have us in their photo albums?
How many people have included us in their collection of memories on their special day? - graduations, weddings, anniversaries, etc.
How many people we have crossed paths with.
How many people we are going to cross paths with.
Just thought it was interesting.

Hi,
I'm Nicki and I'm a broke, first year University student.
I have exams in 4 weeks and just last week was told that we have group presentations to prepare and present a week before our exams.
Don't ask me what I know for my exams cause I've just been trying to keep up with classes and lab reports. Would have liked to have that free block of time that was on our schedule to study but alas, POLs.
The flu is going around; the guy behind me just sneezed 7 time in a row (I ain't exaggerating). I can almost feel the microbes enter my nasal passages from the circulating AC.
Can't afford to get sick. Can't take the drugs cause they make me sleep. As it is right now I can't afford to sleep. But if I don't sleep I can't concentrate in class and I get sick easily. But I can't afford to get sick. Ahh.
Hi, I'm Nicki...
